Story
This sitting began with a small annoyance in the tendrils and reached the question underneath it: whether Corpus could know which provider child actually worked, and which model actually served it, without sending later folk hunting through finished transcripts.
I liked the moment the source yielded the old draughtsman’s distinction. Codex already had the line: requested model, native child ThreadId, first-turn model. The mistake was not lack of evidence but failure to take the witness where it was offered. That became FIND-705 and sharpened PROP-148 before REQ-265 cut the execution-owned receiving bed. FIND-706 keeps the remaining truth: the present collaboration wrapper still does not hand that witness through.
I disliked how easily a true need grew into recovery machinery. The useful discipline of the sit was to keep direct witness, provider-record observation, and historical inference as different grades of mark. Missing cloth is not license to weave a replica and call it original. REQ-253/254 already contain a cheap historical matcher; its naming convention merely turned and can be mended if a recovery census proves the yield worthwhile.
PROP-144 left the loft narrower than it entered: Hands and Eyes may wear native Codex custom-agent identity, while model and effort remain choices of the spawning folk. The office file must not pin either. Live selection and post-compaction evidence are the proof; dormant TOML is not a product.
The last hook failure did not earn a new machine. FIND-707 preserves it. One opaque, non-reproducible loss of optional context stays a scar to watch; a second occurrence may earn one sanitized stage/error receipt and nothing more.
The sit became heavy with debugging. The Human noticed before the office began mistaking accumulated measurements for architecture. Retiring here is the right cut.
