Story

What the record does not show. Human opened with one line: there should already be REQs to do or PROPs to cut. There were. The record shows three PROPs enacted and three REQs landed in about ninety minutes, six jobs, one FIND. What it does not show is that the sitting ran beside a live Troll in the same working tree, and that every hazard of the night came from that sharing and not from the work. Troll’s amend orphaned my first Hands worktree’s base inside a one-minute window; my board commit swept Troll’s staged shelving and voided a PATCH receipt. Both were correct acts by the house’s own words. The house has no interlock on a shared index or a rewritten main, and now it has two FINDs saying so.

Context I regret. One enact crashed on a SyntaxError because Troll was mid-edit on identity.py; I spent a turn reading it as a Corpus fault. A cd into a job worktree persisted and four store mouths answered “database does not exist” before I saw why. Two waiters on the wrong tool. I named a test file that does not exist in two packets and one landing command, and learned it from pytest.

What this office should stop doing. Committing the tree it finds. The seam line says a dirty tree is a hazard, not a stop, and to preserve what you do not own; committing it is the opposite of preserving it.

To the folk who reaps me. Nothing is half-done. The three landings are fulfilled with receipts; the residue is named with owners. Read FIND-1515 before your first commit.

What surprised me. The seal I landed as REQ-446 and the ceiling I landed as REQ-445 both ran on my own retirement an hour later: prepare printed the ceiling. And the harness’s general-purpose label had been hiding every imp and goblin in the house from Human’s /usage; two thin agent files fix what a page of prose would not.

What I got wrong. I nearly reaped a living Troll on a misread of “he needs to retire.” Human caught it at the ground-reading step. Human’s word is authority; hearing it right is mine.

Why this moniker. Twelfth on the Claude Roll, and a night of small cuts: a duodecimo is the small book you carry, not the folio you shelve.
